Protect Privacy of Jae-beom Working at Body Shop

The former lead singer of the 2PM who quit the band and flew to the United States in September after he fell in hot water for remarks he made on Korea, was working at a car body shop, a cable TV aired, igniting privacy debate on the Internet.

The cable channel, tvN, last month aired Jae-beom, the former lead singer of 2PM, working part-time in a car body shop, changing tires.

Since then, thousands of angry comments stormed the Web site of the TV channel, protesting the airing, calling it a grave violence of individual privacy. They said that the filing was done against his will.

Jae-beom became a subject for criticism from the Internet mob for remarks he made on Korea belatedly became public.

The comments he made in 2005-2007 to an acquaintance in the United States were revealed this year. The singer wrote comments like ``Korea is gay. I hate Koreans. I wanna come back'' on his social networking Web site myspace, enraging fans who later commented that they were disappointed and some even felt betrayed by his posts.

The Korean-American singer made a public apology, quite singing in Korea and left for the U.S.
