Fifty sewing needles were found in a two-year-old boy's body in Brazil.
The boy is seriously ill after 50 sewing needles were forced to push into his body as part of a black magic ritual, according to the Sky News Online.
The child was then taken to the hospital Sunday after suffering from stomach pains and started vomiting. Surprisingly an X-ray showed 50 needles inside his neck, abdomen, thorax and legs. He was set to undergo an operation to remove some of the needles at West Hospital in Barreiras, in the northwestern state of Bahia.
Dr. Luiz Cesar Soltoski said some of the needles will be left inside the body as they are close to his liver and it would be dangerous to remove them.
Police are investigating the attack and it is suspected that the boy had been the victim of a black magic ritual.
The child's mother told police that she did not know who is responsible, the London Evening Standard reported. A senior police officer said, "At the moment we don't know who did it. It's such a strange situation. We could be looking at attempted murder, a serious assault or some type of revenge attack."
The boy was in a serious condition but has shown some improvement since being admitted to hospital.

루이즈 시저 솔토스키 원장은 몇 개의 바늘이 간과 너무 가깝게 있어 위험할 수 있기 때문에 제거가 어려울 것으로 내다봤다.
경찰은 이 사건에 대해 조사 중이며, 이 아이는 흑마술 의식의 피해자인 걸로 보인다고 전했다.
런던 이브닝 스탠다드에 따르면 아이의 엄마는 누가 범행을 저질렀는지 모른다고 답변한 것으로 알려졌다. 경찰의 한 간부는 "누가 범행을 저질렀는지 아직 모른다. 참 이상한 사건이다. 이 사건을 살인미수, 폭행 아니면 복수극으로 보고 있다"고 전했다.
아이는 심각한 상태에 있었으나 병원 입원 이후 약간 호전된 것으로 전해졌다.
