19-year-old Chinese student Huang Chen at Changsha had the remote control lodged up his backsides, according to the Mirror, the online edition of The Daily Mirror in the United Kingdom.

Huang Chen mystified medics when he turned up drunk at Hunan Hangtian Hospital in Changsha, complaining of unexplained pain from his rear end.

While being examined, the tipsy student turned over in bed, and inadvertently changed channel on the hospital's telly.

X-rays later revealed that he had a TV remote control lodged up his backside.

Police says it was a part of a prank played by flatmates on Chen when he collapsed after a boozy night out.

"There was a little bit of blood but he didn't say anything about a remote control. We couldn't quite believe it when we saw the X-ray," said medic Dr. Wei Lung Zhi. He also added that Huang Chen will be fine in time but the remote was a write off.

중국 창사 지역에 사는 대학생 황첸의 후부 쪽에서 리모콘이 발견됐다고 영국의 일간지 `데일리 미러' 인터넷판인 `미러'가 보도했다.

알지 못할 후부의 통증으로 술취한 상태로 후나 항티엔 병원을 찾은 황첸은 의료진을 어리둥절하게 했다.

검사를 하는 동안 황첸은 침대에서 몸을 뒤집었고, 우연히 병원에 있는 텔레비전의 채널을 돌렸다.

그 뒤 찍은 엑스레이 사진에서 그의 후부쪽에서 리모컨이 발견됐다.

경찰은 황첸이 술에 잔뜩 취해있자 룸메이트가 장난을 친 것으로 분석했다.

당시 황첸을 진료한 의사 웨이렁지는 "그의 항문에서 약간의 핏자국만 발견됐고 황첸 또한 리모컨에 대한 얘기는 하지 않았다"며 "엑스레이를 봤을 때 믿을 수 없었다"고 말했다. 그는 황첸이 빨리 회복될 것이지만 리모콘은 처분됐다고 덧붙였다.
