Six incumbent and former workers of Doosan Infracore were indicted for having allegedly embezzled government subsidies for the development of a warship, the Incheon Public Prosecutors' Office said Wednesday.
The investigators said that 57-year-old Kim, president of one of Doosan Infracore's affiliates, and a former executive Park embezzled 5.7 billion won and 2.1 billion won in government subsidies, respectively, by inflating research fees.
They turned in fake receipts and padded the prime cost of the engine of the Navy's high-speed vessel the company was contracted to build.
