Memorial Services for Kim DJ Due in Japan

Lee Hee-ho
Lee Hee-ho, wife of the late President Kim Dae-jung, will visit Japan from Friday to Sunday to attend the memorial services for Kim to be held in Tokyo and Osaka.

The visit was scheduled at the invitation of Japanese politicians and citizens, according to the Seoul-based Kim Dae Jung Peace Center.

Lee is currently serving as the chairwoman of the center, which is dedicated to conducting research on inter-Korean relations and geopolitical issues in Northeast Asia.

It will be Lee's first overseas trip since the former president died on Aug. 18. He is survived by his wife Lee, and three sons, Hong-up, Hong-il and Hong-gul.
