Gold Teeth Stolen From Dental Office

Listen

A dental lab has accused police of running a lax investigation into the theft of gold used to make false teeth. But Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station said Monday it lacked evidence to track down the suspect.

"The closed circuit television was turned off and no fingerprints were found on the safe," an officer said.

More than two kilograms of gold, worth around 100 million won ($85,000), was stolen from the dental laboratory in Yeongdeungpo earlier this month.

The thief took not only the lump of gold but also gold teeth customized for patients.
