Huh Kyung-young, a former presidential candidate famous for his eccentric behavior, has released a single, after claiming Michael Jackson's soul had visited him three days before the singer died.
Huh was released from prison last month after an 18-month jail term for breaking the Election Law. His eccentricities include spreading false information during the presidential election, such as claiming Rep. Park Geun-hye of the Grand National Party would marry him after he became President.
He held a press conference on Wednesday and unveiled the song targeting the younger generation titled ``Call Me.''
The song was written and produced by Lee Kyo-won of the underground rock band Biuret. ```Call Me' is a familiar, bright song and Huh sang it with his characteristic humorous way, though not like a professional,'' Lee said. ``I am not particularly a supporter of Huh but I thought it would be amusing to work with him.''
Huh wrote the lyrics by himself. The words are comical, exaggerated and absurd, such as ``when you call Huh Kyung-young, you will pass a test.''
The song was set to be released on Aug. 15 through Internet music site LolSong, commemorating Liberation Day, but was moved forward by two days due to its popularity, according to Huh.
Meanwhile, he still holds hopes of one day taking the presidency. ``I will gain the sympathy of people from music and television appearances and run for the next presidential election in 2012,'' Huh said.
His previous presidential pledges were peculiar as well, and included a 100-million-won subsidy for newly married couples and moving the U.N. headquarters to Panmunjeom, a village on the inter-Korean border.
