Man Wins 38 Million Won in Sexual Dysfunction Case

A court ruled Thursday that a hospital should pay 38 million won ($30,000) in compensation to a 56-year-old man who suffers from permanent sexual dysfunction caused by penis enlargement surgery he underwent.
The man identified as Kim had the surgery in September 2005 and then found himself sexually impotent afterward.
Despite further operations and other treatment, he failed to recover, and filed a compensation suit against the hospital in 2006.
The Seoul Central District Court held the hospital liable for the accident, and estimated the amount of compensation based on the assumption that the sexual dysfunction deprived him of 15 percent of his capability to earn an income.
``It's based on the belief he can work with no health problems until the age of 60,'' said Judge Roh Ho-sung. ``We estimated his sexual incapacity will undermine 15 percent of his capability to earn money through labor up to that age.''
The hospital claimed Kim had a chronic problem prior to surgery, but the court refused to accept this.

Well Gillian, we men do tend to think more with the "little" head than the "big" head! (joke). Ezlife, I heard about the beauty operations too, but didn't know how popular they were. I just got back from a week in Singapore. It's amazing how many "new" women are there walking the street. Down right scary.

I'm with the others, what does a non-functional penis have to do with earning money? A real head-scratcher.....

jimbo....I really never heard about surgeries to enlarge one's tool, but I do know very well about the so-called "beauty operation" where young ladies can restore their hymen in order to convince their new hubby that is truly a virgin on their honeymoon night. It's a common practice according to a number of my female university students. So, who knows, maybe the men feel a need to enlarge themselves and there is always some doctor who will be happy to separate them from their money.

Exlife, agreed. How does this effect his ability to work, unless he is a male prostitute? Pjohns, this is done a lot in Korea?

Pjohns....maybe you could explain to me how an inoperative pecker affects your ability to earn money? You should have more energy...not less.
