A local sports cable network MBC ESPN will host adidas MBC Hangang Marathon on April 26 in Seoul.
The eight-year race has built up its billing as the best masters marathon competition, inviting not only the world's top-tier masters runners but also competitive ones from local amateur clubs of the sport.
The contest, which drew 14,400 participants last year, is divided into five classes: the masters championship full course, the masters full course, the masters half course, the masters 10 kilometers and a 10-kilometer fun run.
Alongside the contest, it also holds a variety of sub-events, a campaign for common profit regarding the environment and a fund raiser for the children with heart disease.
Application is open to 15,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
