Domestic and international airlines are offering promotional discounts for the spring season with demand for air travel relatively weak.
Cathay Pacific Airways presents ``Diet Package,'' comprised of a round-trip ticket and two or three nights hotel stay until next month.
There are two types of packages _ Super Slim and Deluxe.
Super Slim was designed for prudent consumers. Nine economy hotels are included in the program, and the price for a double room for two or three nights starts at 299,000 won. The hotels include Royal View, Regal Riverside, Regal Oriental, Regal Hongkong, Regal Kowloon, the Cityview, Hotel Jen, Royal Pacific and Harbour Plaza Metropolis.
The deluxe package offers nights at five star hotels that boast Hong Kong's finest views, including InterContinental Grand Stanford, InterContinental Hong Kong and JW Marriott Hong Kong. Prices start at 499,000 won, and JW Marriott offers free one additional night for those staying for two nights.
The programs exclude taxes and a fuel surcharge. The additional charges differ daily according to exchange rates, and are usually around 83,000 won.
The Diet Package allows adults to accompany children aged under 12 at an additional cost of 200,000 won. For more information, visit www.cathaypacific.com.kr.
Singapore Airlines is also offering the ``SIA Holidays Spring Special'' airtel package.
The promotion, available through March 31, starts from 349,000 won. An additional 50,000 won will upgrade the lodging to a five star hotel. Taxes and a fuel surcharge are not included.
The package includes a round-trip flight ticket, two-night hotel stay and transfers between the hotel and airport. It also offers free rides on Singapore Airlines' ``Hop-on Bus,'' which runs to main tourist attractions in town and Sentosa, an island just off the southern coast of Singapore.
Those buying the package can get discounts at various attractions, such as 50 percent off the Singapore Flyer and Hippo River Cruise.

Jeju Air, a Jeju Island-based low-cost carrier, offers various discount promotions and events in commemoration of the launch of regular operations to two Japanese cities.
It will begin daily operation between Incheon and Osaka and three weekly between Incheon and Kitakyushu on March 20.
The airfare for the Incheon-Osaka flight is 260,000 won and for Incheon-Kitakyushu, 240,000 won, excluding taxes and fuel surcharges _ about 70 percent of those offered by other full-service carriers. Fares cost 20,000 won less if passengers buy tickets at least 14 days before departures.
Among those purchasing the tickets to the cities between March 20 and 30, the airline will pick a four-member family and a couple to receive free accommodation and admission to Osaka Universal Studio Japan. Another couple traveling to Kitakyushu will be selected for free admission to Harmony Land, a theme park featuring Hello Kitty.
