A Korean woman is known to be among the victims of the New York shootings that left 14 people dead, Newsis reported Saturday.
The woman, known as Lee Sun-mi, was injured with gunshots on her arm and leg, but is not in critical condition, it said.
Lee is a wife of a South Korean military officer, identified as Kim, who is in the U.S. to pursue an advanced study.
A Vietnamese immigrant and a former IBM employee entered an upstate New York immigrant counseling center, killing 14 people and leaving four critically injured, before turning the gun on himself.
At the time of the incident, Lee was taking an English class in the same building.
The man blocked the rear entrance of the immigration center to prevent people from escaping before he entered the main door and started a random shooting spree to the people inside the center who were mostly immigrants and taking an exam to be qualified to become a U.S. citizen.
