The South Korean baseball team is to play a friendly match against the San Diego Padres after the first round of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) on March 11 ― if they reach the second round.
The national team will take on the U.S. outfit at Peoria, Ariz., then face the LA Dodgers at Glendale Ballpark in Glendale, Ariz., the next day.
The first round of the international tournament is to be held from March 5 to 9 at Tokyo Dome.
Japan plans to play the San Francisco Giants and the Chicago Cubs in Arizona during the same period.
The Korean team will move to Petco Park in San Diego, Calif. after the friendly games to prepare for the second round, which is scheduled from March 15 to 19.
