A 26-year-old woman was found dead in an apparent suicide in her house in Gwangju, South Jeolla Province after a quarrel with her boyfriend, police said Friday.

The woman, identified only as Park, had a quarrel with her 30-year-old boyfriend because he did not support her when she said she was insulted by an online game counterpart, police said, citing the boyfriend who found her body and reported it to the police.

``She was playing an Internet game at around 4 a.m., Sunday and they fought as her boyfriend did not take her side when she told him that an online game counterpart swore at her,'' a police officer said.

After the argument, her boyfriend left the house and she did not contact him for several days. She was apparently obsessed with playing Internet games, he added.
