The military will resume serving imported beef to soldiers next year, Yonhap news agency reported said Friday.

In August, the Ministry of National Defense suspended serving beef imported from Australia, New Zealand and the United States, amid growing public worries about the safety of foreign cuts.

Previously, the military served a total of 35 grams of beef ― 15 grams of Korean beef and 20 grams of imported beef ― to servicemembers.

The military has served duck to soldiers since the ministry suspended serving imported beef.
