Seo Joon-yong claimed a dramatic silver for South Korea at the cycling World Cup in Melbourne, Australia, Thursday night.

Seo finished the 30km points race tied with Glenn O'Shea _ competing for the host nation _ for gold, but after a countback the Australian was declared the winner.

The pair had been neck-and-neck and both finished with 59 points, and Seo was winning by one point when they went into the final sprint. But O'Shea managed to squeeze it by narrowly beating the South Korean by one place in the last stage.

Spaniard Eloy Tereul Rovira took bronze in the 120-lap race.
