Book Marks Kyobo Lifes 50th Anniversary

Listen

Kyobo Life Insurance has published a book marking its 50th anniversary.

As the only financial business in the country to continuously grow for half a century without outside support and remain owned by the same family, Kyobo reflects on its times of glory and trouble in the book.

Starting from how Shin Yong-ho, the late father of CEO Shin Chang-jae, founded the company in 1958, the book chronicles the insurer's 50-year history as well as describing how the domestic insurance industry developed.

Shin Chang-jae, who led Kyobo out of difficulty following the Asian financial crisis, said, ``Continuous innovation and challenges and not fearing crisis and market changes were key to our growth.''
