Volvo drivers will be able to receive a free checkup of their vehicles during high travel season from July 14 through Aug. 9, the Volvo distribution outlet in Seoul reported Wednesday.

On the service checklist are 21 vehicle parts, including engine cooling devices and air conditioners for safe summer travel, and anti-freezing solution, a spokesman of Volvo Cars Korea said.

The checkups will be available at 17 service centers across the country, he said.

Clients paying 200,000 won or more in paid services may also enter a lottery held during the checkup period. One winner will be given a free visit to the company's main Swedish plant in Gothenburg. One hundred and thirty-three others will receive service coupons worth 200,000 to 1 million won.

The Swedish carmaker was sold to Ford Motor Co. of the United States in 1999.
