Police said they will take action against those holding a candlelight vigil to protest the full opening of the local market to U.S. beef, calling the gathering illegal.
Organizers of the candlelight vigil should get prior approval for a demonstration and will face legal action if they proceed without approval.
Police said they will summon a group of protestors, civic group members and internet cafe operators who led the vigil last Friday for questioning. The hardened stance is expected to invite protests from civic groups and citizens opposing U.S. beef imports.
