WASHINGTON _ A Korean-American was nominated to be assistant attorney general for civil rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, a promotion from deputy assistant, officials here said Tuesday.
The nomination for Grace Chung Becker was sent to the Senate on Thursday, they said.
