LG Electronics is showing off its cutting-edge energy efficiency technology.

The South Korean maker of consumer electronics is displaying a ``geothermal pump collaborating system,'' which reduces energy consumption by as much as 40 percent per annum, at an energy fair that began its three-day run at COEX Tuesday.

Also on display is the next-generation system air-conditioner named `MultiV Super ll,' which is suitable for skyscrapers with the latest high-efficiency inverter compressor technology. The fair brings together 192 private companies from 18 countries including Japan, China and Germany.

``We secured a solid basis to lead the system air-condition market by maximizing energy-efficiency,'' said the company, adding that its technology will steal the limelight as there is a growing need for high-efficiency energy.
