Korea International School (KIS) will open ``Early Years’’ programs for children at its remodeled campus in southern Seoul, next month.
KIS, which has the main campus in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, will offer three programs: pre-school for three-year-olds, pre-kindergarten for four-year-olds and kindergarten for five-year olds.
Each class will accommodate 20 students at most and two teachers will be assigned per class. The programs will feature International Primary Curriculum (IPC) that most advanced international schools around the world use. Currently, IPC is used in more than 200 international schools in 204 countries.
``It’s not a curriculum just limited to a certain country. It provides an identical learning system, which can be used throughout the world with a very well organized and standardized liaison between teacher guidance, teaching content, curriculum, and parental guidance,’’ said Lara Manasfi, head teacher of KIS Gaepo campus.
