![]() Landing ship: South Korea’s first 14,000-ton landing ship named Dokdo after the country’s easternmost islets sails near the port of Pusan, Monday, a day before a commissioning ceremony after two years of sea trials. The 199-meter-long vessel equipped with sophisticated air warfare systems will serve as a helicopter carrier, a core part of the Navy’s pursuit of a strategic mobile squadron.
