'Spy' producer to receive plaque

Thailand Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya will award Yoon Je-gyun, one of the producers of the film “The Spy: Undercover Operation,” an appreciation plaque at Thai Night today.

He was selected for his contribution to exchanges between Korea and Thailand in film. Thai Night will be held to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Korea-Thailand diplomatic ties.

“The Spy: Undercover Operation,” which stars Sol Kyung-gu and Moon So-ri, was premiered on Sept. 5, and has attracted some 30 million viewers so far. A third of the film is set in Thailand.

Yoon is also looking into Thailand as a location for his next film.
