Yahoo has appointed Lee Kyung-han as managing director of Yahoo Korea and Overture Korea to succeed former CEO Kim Dae-seon who resigned last month.
Lee graduated from Seoul National University majoring in mathematics education, and earned an MBA from the University of Southern California. He started his career at IBM Korea as a system engineer from 1983, and worked for Samsung SDS, and served as CEO of Bayconsulting until 2002 when he joined Yahoo Korea.
At Yahoo, he headed the sales and marketing divisions, helping extend partnerships with major search advertising partners. Later he served as vice president of the Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics, responsible for software technologies from 2006 to 2010.
