TVXQ's Yunho joins military

U-Know Yunho from two-member boy band TVXQ entered mandatory military service Tuesday.

According to industry sources, Yunho joined the recruit training center at the 26th Division in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, but the singer did not want media exposure and enlisted discreetly. He will have five weeks of basic training and serve for 21 months.

The idol singer, also known as Jung Yun-ho, debuted in 2004 with the band's single "Hug" and has released seven studio albums.

Before joining up, Yunho performed a concert, "TVXQ! Special Live Tour

T1ST0RY," at the Gymnastics Arena in Olympic Park, Seoul, on July 13-14. He also released a special album, "Rise as God," Monday, expressing his gratitude to fans. The album has two tracks

"Champagne," sung by Yunho, and "Rise as One" by other band member Max Changmin.

Yunho also filmed web drama "I Order You" until recently and the drama will continue during his service. The show is popular and had more than 7 million page views in a month.

Changmin will enlist in mandatory military service later this year. According to the band's agency, SM Entertainment, Changmin will serve as a policeman.
