IU to release 3rd album in October

Iconic K-pop singer IU will release her 3rd album, "Modern Times," next month, one and half years after her previous album, "Spring of a Twenty Year Old."

Her agency Loen Entertainment on Tuesday unveiled the illustrated album guide map and a teaser photo, prior to the Oct. 7 launching of her album.

The black-and-white teaser photo features IU, not as a girl from next door but a chic, mature woman. She is pictured with her long wavy hair sitting in a hallway, blowing bubble gums and holding a guitar. The guide map includes short anecdotes about the songs listed on the album.

The album has been produced by Cho Young-chul for nine months and includes tracks of various genres ranging from Jazz to Bossa Nova and Latin pop.
