KTO renews English smartphone app

The Korea Tourism Organization launched an updated version of its smartphone application, "Visit Korea,’’ which provides travel information of Korean destinations in English.

The updated app is more user-friendly and advanced in location-based functions like GPS navigation and digital maps, the KTO said. Users can also ''bookmark’’ information to read on their devices even when they don’t have mobile Internet connection.

The KTO is also providing a version optimized for the wider screens of tablet computers. The application can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.
