The Severance Hospital will hold a class on liver cancer, marking the 10th anniversary of its clinic that specializes in combating the disease.
Professors of the hospital will give a lecture on the latest treatment and surgical procedures, including liver transplantation, as well as top diet tips.

Medipost announced that it got a patent registered in the United States for treating cancer using stem cells.
The biotechnology company said that it received the patent from the United States Patents and Trademark Office for the technology it developed, which treats patients by combining cancer-repressing genes with cord blood stem cells. The company also had patents registered in a number of European countries in March for this technology.
The company explained that it can be used to track diverse cancers including those in the brain, breasts, and rectal passage, and expressed hope that it can also be applied in the development of a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
Jaseng Hospital of Oriental Medicine in Shinsa-dong, southern Seoul, said it is holding a class on shoulder problems such as frozen shoulder that many people experience from their 50s.
An oriental medical doctor at the hospital will give a presentation on causes and symptoms, and Oriental treatment for the pain, along with tips for prevention such as stretching.
