CJ CGV, the operator of Korea's largest multiplex cinema chain, will open a new theater in Junggye-dong, northern Seoul, Thursday, which is specially designed for the family experience.
Similar to the CGV Cheongdam Cine City that opened in 2011, the CGV Junggye is an all-in-one venue that combines movie theaters, restaurants, performing arts venues and shops. Aside from state-of-the-art screens and sound systems, the theaters will be equipped with wide seats for the comfort of parents and children sitting together.
A subsidiary of Korean conglomerate CJ Group, CGV was established in 1996 and opened its first multiplex cinema at Guui, southeastern Seoul, in 1998.
