Hyundai Motor has started selling the 2017 Santa Fe SUV, Monday.

A Hyundai Motor official said the value of the 2017 Santa Fe model has been increased as it comes with enhanced safety and convenience options compared to the previous model.

“The 2017 Santa Fe includes Air Softener providing a pleasing scent for Hyundai cars and the Safety Unlock System that protects drivers from intrusion while parking, as basic options.

It also released the Santa Fe 1 Million Edition along with the 2017 model, in anticipation of 1 million domestic sales of the car. Introduced in 2000, the SUV model has been sold a total of 960,000 times in Korea and is expected to reach 1 million this year.

The 1 Million Edition wears a half-matt chrome exterior mirror cover and radiator grille on its front face while applying door-spot lamps and dual twin-tip muffler along with the signature Santa Fe emblem. Burgundy leather seat and suede-textile interior material are included as well.

The 1 Million Edition also comes with various safety options and partial autonomous driving assistance systems such as Auto Emergency Brake System, Smart Cruise Control, Smart High Beam and Lane Departure Detection.

“The 2017 Santa Fe model includes a number of options as basic specifications to satisfy more customers,” said an official.

The 2017 Santa Fe is sold for between 28 million and 36.6 million won.
