Samsung Electronics’ new smart TV model has won the “best of innovation” award at Consumer Electronics Show 2016, the company said on Sunday.
The new Samsung TV features an “amplify” function, which has improved quality in the upper register, and a “clear voice” function for consumers with poor hearing.
The model also has enhanced functions for users with visual impairment. Its graphic user interface has redoubled the contrast range from existing models.
A company official said Samsung Electronics had worked hard to expand access to TV for people with visual and hearing problems, working in cooperation with international specialist organizations, including the Royal National Institute of Blind in the U.K.
