Villinger to Head McKinsey Seoul

McKinsey & Company's Seoul office said Monday that Dr. Roland Villinger was appointed as head of its Korean operations.

Since joining McKinsey in 1991, Villinger has served corporate clients internationally with a focus on industrial companies, as well as a range of service players, including banking, wholesale and retail and IT. He has become one of the firm's foremost experts in the region in the areas of market entry and business development, as well as operations improvement programs with broad-based organization capability building, the Seoul office said.

Villinger, who received his doctorate in international management from the University of Cambridge, was previously the manager of the Bangkok office. During the last three years he has also been leading the firms Asia-Pacific operations practice.
