The annual Korea-France Music Festival will take place today in Seorae Village, a French community in Seoul.

The event to be held at Montmartre Park is expected to attract some 6,000 visitors including around 1,000 French residents.

“BelO,” the world-renowned Haitian musician as well as a number of Korean musicians and K-POP groups will perform at the festival. They include hip-pop duo Leessang, rock band No Brain, girl group Sunny Hill and punk rock group GOGOSTAR.

A contest hosted by the French Cultural Center as well as Korean traditional music and choir performances of students from the French School of Seoul will also take place.

Another attraction will be a free offering of food from different countries around the world including French crepes and wine, Turkish kebabs and Mexican tortillas, organizers said.

Traditional French games such as petanque and Korean games will also be featured.

The annual festival held for the fifth time this year aims to heighten intercultural exchanges between the two countries.
