Hyundai Home Shopping, an affiliate of Hyundai Department Store, plans to boost sales of fashion items this year by allotting more prime-time evening slots to fashion brands.
The firm said Thursday that it plans to raise sales of fashion goods by 1 trillion won ($931 million) this year to make it account for 30 percent of the total revenue.
It increased the number of teams supporting the fashion industry to five from three early this year. It created teams for luxury and underwear brands.
The firm said it will allot 40 percent more prime-time slots for fashion brands this year. The main items include designers' products and overseas licensed merchandise.
The firm said selling fashion items could create higher earnings than other products, and help attract young customers.
