POSCO opens English blog

POSCO, the world’s fourth largest steel maker, has opened an English blog, ''Hello POSCO’’ in its attempt to more effectively communicate with the global community. The steelmaker said Monday that it opened the blog (http://globalblog.posco.com) to better inform its customers and others of its business activities, management philosophy and corporate social responsibility programs. In September last year, it began operating a Korean language blog. ''Through Hello POSCO, we would like to let the world know that we are not just a steelmaker. We are a responsible member of the global corporate community,’’ a POSCO spokeswoman said. ''The blog will also publicize business activities of our overseas branches and stories of our staff there to raise POSCO’s profile in host nations.’’ The company has also set up an account on social network service site Linkedin (www.linkedin.com/company/posco) to build up an online communication network with its clients and steel industry officials at home and abroad. |
