LG Electronics leader in air conditioner market
“Whisen Son Yeon-jae Special,” one of the new models LG introduced to the market this year, exhibits how the company pushes the boundaries of imagination. Son is a popular female rhythmic gymnast. Whisen Son Yeon-jae Special reminds users of the gymnast with its sensuous design and “magic window” system that generates “healthy” air flows. The air conditioner features the magic window system equipped with an LED with a 250 millimeter slim design. It is also praised for generating clean airflow free of harmful bacteria and viruses. The product is also highly energy-efficient. The company said the magic window brings up the image of a window of a cabin in the Alps, meaning air generated by Whisen Son Yeon-jae Special flows into a house as if it blows from the forest. “We applied a 250 millimeter super slim design to our latest air conditioner to take up as little space as possible inside the house,” an LG Electronics spokesman said. “Whisen Son Yeon-jae Special is equipped with the 2X super cooling system that offers intense air conditioning. Its magic window sends cool air in four directions up, down, left and right, it cools down the room faster. It takes three minutes less to reach the temperature that the user wants, thus saving energy,” the spokesman said. The filter of Whisen Son Yeon-jae Special removes 99.9 percent of bacteria, including ones that cause swine and avian flu, and super bacteria. The air conditioner also generates about 20 different types of air flows. LG air conditioners are designed to make the atmosphere as fresh as the breeze on a mountain. The firm sent over 100 research staff members to Mt. Seorak over the past eight years, where they measured the velocity, frequency and other features of fresh breezes. LG Electronics applied super inverter energy saving technology to all air conditioners it launched this year. As they automatically control room air conditioning based on temperatures both indoors and outdoors, users can save up to 88 percent on previous charges. |
