Financial Hub Korea to hold NY job fair

By Kim Tae-jong

Financial Hub Korea (Fn Hub Korea) said Wednesday that it will host a job fair in New York to help local financial companies hire quality international talent. The fair will take place on Sept. 22 and 23 at the Grand Hyatt New York.

Fn Hub Korea is a special unit established by the Financial Supervisory Service to promote Korea as an international finance market. The job fair will be attended by 15 finance companies, including KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Korea Development Bank (KDB) Securities, Mirae Asset Securities, Samsung Life and Samsung Card as well as retailer E-Land.

“The local financial market has been in a slump amid the global recession,” said Min Byung-hyun, director of Financial Hub Korea. “But this event aims at attracting talented people to the local financial industry.”

Those interested in the fair can find more information at the center’s official website (www.fnhubkorea.kr). They can register through the website between Aug. 20 and 30 or visit the information desk in the lobby of the hotel on Sept. 22 to participate in the event.
