LS Cable & System Ltd., Korea's top wire and cable maker, said Thursday it has clinched a US$110 million deal to supply power cables to Kuwait.
Under the deal with the Kuwait Ministry of Electricity and Water, LS Cable will provide 400 kilovolt high pressure electric cables to be used for a new town project in the oil-rich Middle East country.
Early this year, LS Cable won a separate $107 million contract from Kuwait.
This year, LS Cable has received a series of deals from other countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia.
"The latest deal will help cement LS Cable's position in the high pressure electric cable market," said a company official. (Yonhap)
