Koo joins CE Hall of Fame: The late LG Group Founder Koo In-hwoi was selected among this year’s class of inductees into the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame, which was established by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) in 2000 to honor those who contribute to the development of the consumer technology industry. The association said that the 2012 inductees include company founders and inventors, and retailers that educate and deliver products to consumers. Koo helped LG expand its business into consumer electronics such as televisions, radios, refrigerators and washers after the Korean War.
