Hana chief, KEB union meet

The union of the Korea Exchange Bank (KEB) began talks with Hana Financial Group Chairman Kim Seung-yu Monday and conveyed to him its demand that KEB keep its name and be managed separately from the rest of the banking group after Hana’s takeover is completed, KEB union leader Kim Kwi-chul said Tuesday.

The Hana chairman rejected the union’s demands. However, it remains to be seen whether the two sides will come up with a compromise in the days to come.
