LG Electronics Co., Korea's leading consumer electronics maker, said Tuesday that it will showcase its new light-emitting diode (LED) displays at a trade show in the Netherlands.
LG Electronics said it plans to put on display its 2012 mainstay products at the trade show Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), which runs from Tuesday to Thursday.
The ISE is Europe's largest trade show focusing on commercially used display panels, which will draw about 700 companies and more than 40,000 visitors.
The company said it will showcase a 165-inch LED multi-display, with each panel connected by a seam of 5.3 millimeters.
Its rivals including Samsung Electronics Co. also plan to join the trade show to showcase their newly developed displays.
Samsung Electronics, Korea's tech giant, said that it will unveil a 40-inch liquid crystal display with embedded multi-touch functions, co-developed with Microsoft Corp.
LG Display, the world's No. 2 flat panel maker, plans to participate in the trade show to unveil a 55-inch multivision with film-type patterned retarder technology. (Yonhap)
