Lee encourages wounded captain: President Lee Myung-bak offers words of encouragement to Seok Hae-kyun, the captain of the 11,500-ton merchant ship Samho Jewelry, during a visit to Ajou University Hospital in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, Saturday. Seok is recovering from injuries sustained during a military operation to rescue him and other crewmembers from Somali hijackers in the Arabian Sea on Jan. 21. After undergoing several operations here, he regained full consciousness in late February.
