Nexon Corp., the leading Korean online game maker, has signed a contract to export the popular "Crazy Arcade B&B" and "Crazy Racing Kartrider" to Innova Systems, one of the major game distributors in Russia and 11 other members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The contract has further developed Nexon's status as an international company that now has representation in 71 countries. It plans to localize the games in Russia and the other former Soviet republics based on experience and know-how built up over a number of years overseas, a spokesman said.
"We anticipate significant growth in Russia as an emerging online games market due to its promising infrastructure," said Kang Shin-chul, a Nexon executive. "We will make efforts to have the game titles loved by Russian gamers by localizing them to the optimum level."
Gevork Sarkisyan, an executive of the Russian partner, said that he is pleased to provide the two games, which currently boast more than 200 million members each. "We will make efforts to have B&B and Kartrider become popular in Russia too," he added.
At the moment, Innova Systems provides three other Korean online game titles, "Lineage 2," "R2" and "RF Online."
