Incoming travelers with laptops will be able to access the Internet as soon as they land at Incheon International Airport thanks to KT's modem rental service.

The telecom company said it will start renting WiBro high-speed modems to foreigners, on the first floor of the airport between Gate 6 and 7. Laptop PCs will be available for lease at the KT booth, too.

No charges will be applied in May, though a 50,000 won deposit is required. KT will start charging 5,000 won per day in June.

WiBro, better known as Mobile WiMax, is a high-speed wireless Internet service. It covers the whole of Seoul and its vicinities, and works well even in subways and on highways including the Airport Highway.

KT plans to expand its WiBro network to other major cities this year.
