Seoul Arts Center signs MOU with Chinese counterpart for cooperation

The Seoul Arts Center (SAC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with China's National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) on exchange and cooperation between the two centers from 2012-2015, SAC said Friday.

Under the MOU signed in Beijing on Wednesday, the two state-run arts centers plan to engage in substantial and long-term cooperation and exchange through joint projects.

SAC President Mo Chul-min signed the document with Chen Ping, president of NCPA, during his trip to the Chinese capital to attend the 4th NCPA World Theater Forum. The two shared the view that cooperation between the two centers is very necessary for the development of opera from the initial stage of the opera production, SAC officials said. (Yonhap)
