Samsung Medical Center is donating 1,000 won per comment on its social network service (SNS) platforms for a 14-month old patient there. Kim Jin-woo suffers multiple chronic conditions including hypertrichosis, cleft lip, developmental disabilities, and Pierre Robin syndrome.

Kim’s family moved from Jeju Island February 2011 to seek care at the tertiary facility for the various problems. His father left his job to become a fulltime caregiver. Kim’s mother earns 800,000 won a month to cover medical costs and living expense.

Titled “For a healthy future for Jin-woo,” it is the hospital’s first SNS campaign through April 27. Anyone can leave comments on the center’s Facebook (www.facebook.com/samsungmedicalcenter), Youtube (www.youtube.com/samsungmedicalcenter), blog (www.ohhappysmc.com), and Twitter (www.twitter.co./mysmc) accounts to raise money for Kim.
