Baby shower packages welcome would-be-mothers

It is not easy for expecting mothers to take a distant trip although they want some refreshment. It is also not easy for them to have a wild party with friends to celebrate the upcoming birth.

For such women, hotels present packages with which they can take a rest or have a party in a comfortable room.

Imperial Palace Seoul has a baby shower package for guests to celebrate the arrival of the baby with friends or family.

Available through Dec. 15, the “Dear My Baby” package provides a comfortable relaxation in a room as well as a present of three-level cake-style diaper sets. Baby socks and feeding bottles are included, along with a DIY set for traditional Korean baby clothes and hat making with organic cloth.

The room service serves oven-baked pizza, fresh salad and freshly squeezed fruit juice. The package is available from Friday to Sunday and is priced at 435,000 won.

Besides the package, the Imperial Palace Seoul offers a “Very Important Baby” (VIB) service for guests with infants. With the service, guests can have a crib equipped with a mobile in their room.

An ultraviolet light bottle sterilizer, a bottle set and a baby bath are also provided for use while staying. Diapers, wet tissues, towels and pacifiers are complimentary.

At the Westin Chosun Seoul, parents-to-be can enjoy “Babymoon Packages” until Aug. 31.

Babymoon refers to a vacation taken by a couple expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip before the arrival of the newborn. It is said babymoon has become a trend following that of Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The packages are in three types according to the room types and complimentary gifts offered, and the prices range between 285,000 won and 450,000 won.

Babymoon Deluxe package features a one-night sleep in Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed in a business deluxe room, which is filled with “Babymoon scent” of Noodle and Boo’s room spray. Noodle and Boo is an American brand for baby skin care and bath products.

The package includes complimentary Noodle and Boo soft lotion, Nespresso coffee machine in the room and two free capsules per night, a breakfast buffet for two at Aria, and free access to the fitness club, swimming pool and sauna.

Babymoon Junior package provides a one-night stay in a junior suite and all the benefits of the deluxe package above, plus complimentary Kimochis educational toys and free use of the executive lounge with breakfast, dinner and other refreshments there.

Babymoon Suite package offers a one-night stay in the spacious executive suite, all the benefits above, and complimentary bathrobe with the hotel’s signature printed on it.

W Seoul-Walkerhill’s package is named “Baby Me ― What’s Kickin?”

The package is popular among husbands who want to offer their wives a luxury experience before becoming moms, as well as among friends who want to offer their would-be-mom friend a stylish baby shower party.

It includes a one-night stay in a Wonderful Room, breakfast buffet for two and prenatal spa treatment at AWAY Spa for one.

Complimentary gift sets include baby’s skin care products from California Baby, adult’s skin care products from Big Green, one free copy of childcare magazine Mom & Enfant and a six-month subscription for it.

Free access to the swimming pool WET and fitness center SWEAT are also available.
