Comedian Cho divorces by mutual consent, embarrassing fans

Comedian Cho Hye-ryeon, 42, is reported to have divorced her common husband on Wednesday, embarrassing her fans.

"It's correct that Cho has come to an end of her 13-year marriage by mutual consent with her husband," said a spokesman of her management agency Thursday. "Irreconcilable differences" are cited as the major reason for the divorce.

Cho is one of celebrities who have got divorced recently, such as actress Kim Bo-yeon/Jeon No-min couple and the basketball star S대 Jang-hoon-TV newscaster Oh Jeong-yeon couple.

"We have not set any TV and radio schedule for her as she had repeated to say abruptly since last week, 'I want to rest,'" he said. "We've got very much embarrassed with the unexpected thing."

Cho is reported to leave for China to relieve her pain from the divorce. "No contacts are available now. As a result, we don't know details about her divorce," the spokesman said. Cho have one son, 12, and one daughter in the marriage to a record engineer in December, 1998.

Three TV networks are expected to face problems in their entertainment programs where Cho appears every week -- "Star Junior Show Bungeobbang(carp bread or exact resemblance) on SBS where she appear with her 11-year-old son, "Quiz Changing the World" on MBC and "Wageul Wageul Chungmuro" on new network MBN.

Meanwhile, basketball star Seo, 37, and KBS newscaster Oh Jeong-yeon, 29, on Wednesday signed their agreement on divorce without suit to put to en end to their three years of marriage.

Three weeks ago, TV actress Kim bo-yeon, 55, declared divorce from TV actor Jeon No-min, 46, of eight years in marriage.
