(46) Saju of the Worlds Most Famous Soccer Player
By Janet Shin Here is a saju of a world-famous sports star that may give us certain lessons about saju and fate. His name is David Robert Joseph Beckham. Born 2 May 1975 (year of the rabbit), Beckham is an English footballer who currently plays in midfield for Italian Serie A club Milan (on loan from American soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy) and the England national team. He was Google's most searched in all sports topics in 2003 and 2004. With such global recognition he has become an elite advertising brand and a top fashion icon. Looking at his saju, we can see he was born with the energy of mu ― yang earth in his day master. Mu means mountain or field where people do not grow crops. ![]() Born in the month of jin earth ― friend star, he is quite strong in his born energy with a very active expression star rooted in sin metal of day branch as well. We could evaluate him using a sophisticated technique, rather than just as a strong player. Also, his career star, eul wood is rooted in myo of year branch, is quite strong, which tells us of the early success in his career path. His career began when he signed a professional contract with Manchester United, making his team debut in 1992 at the age of 17. He continued his success by signing up with major soccer clubs around the world. None of the stems or branches clash or can be seen as weak in Beckham's saju, which is rare to see in ordinary people's saju. Since we are currently studying the stem combination, he has eul-gyeong combination in his month and year stems. It means his expression star (talent) is compatible with his career star. On one hand, it means he has stable luck in his expression fate in relation to his career fate. While on the other hand, the combination phenomenon means the feeling of being tied down. Usually, people who have lots of combination in his saju feel the lack of something and are inconvenienced by both energies. We notice the combinations in his branches as well, such as sin-jin and jin-myo (these are half trines, which will be reviewed in later columns). Although his life looks secured for his career and expression cycle, Beckham himself is tied down and is not quite free to enjoy. Mu earth is compatible with gye water that is included in jin branch. He also has im water included in sin of his day branch. Gye and im water mean women for mu earth, which suggests continuous relationships with the opposite sex in his private life. Each combination of stems has their own specific features and the meanings are little bit different. The explanations about their features are listed in below. 1. Gap wood and gi earth combination It is a phenomenon that stubborn wood grows well on the fertile soil. It has a harmonious image ― Ideal ― Generous and accord ― Self-examination, and people with this combination express themselves strongly when they are frustrated ― High pride and strong will that never bend ― Men tend to be gentle and delicate but women are strong at heart. 2. Eul wood and gyeong metal combination It is a phenomenon that you chop the weeds with an ax ― Concerned with what others think. People with this combination seem to obey others but they have different wills inside. ― Determined, resolute and reliable ― People of self-assertion and sometimes they are lonely 3. Byeong fire and sin metal combination The sun shines on the gems. ― People with this combination in their saju radiate strong energy ― They tries to control the people around themselves but they seldom show up ― Very strict, cool-headed, and hard headed. 4. Mu earth and gye water combination It is a stream in front of a big mountain ― Beautiful scenery, splendid and rather wasteful ― Prefers uniqueness than the universality ― People with this combination in their saju prefer older than younger people ― They look cool headed but there are lots of blind points inside.
