The Ritz-Carlton Seoul has opened its Chinese restaurant Chee Hong after renovations with a more upscale and elegant atmosphere.

The restaurant, making a specialty of Cantonese and Shanghai cuisines, has more private rooms than before. To celebrate the reopening, a six-course menu is available during December at 130,000 won, which includes seafood and BBQ as amuse bouche, braised shark’s fin with cod milt bouillon, oven-baked eggplant stuffed with scallop mousse, steamed local port with oyster sauce, and Cantonese-style chowfun.

The hotel also renovated its fitness club with advanced exercise facilities and will soon make a new entrance to the hotel’s A2 level for guests’ easier access to Chee Hong and other facilities directly from the street. An anti-aging clinic, Possom Prestige, will also open there soon.


Grand Hilton Seoul

Three Christmas Memory Packages are prepared at Grand Hilton Seoul, available Dec. 17-24.

The Romantic Memory Package (215,000 won) offers one night stay in a deluxe room and a bottle of red wine and cheese from room service. Lotte Hotel Seoul’s French restaurant Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul and Italian restaurant Peninsula offer Early Christmas Menus Dec. 12-22.

Offered only to 20 guests per day, the menus are prepared for those wanting to celebrate Christmas earlier, away from the hustle and bustle of the season.

The menus include Lotte Cinema movie tickets for Steven Spielberg’s 3D blockbuster “Tin Tin.” The price is 420,000 won per person at Pierre Gagnaire and 170,000 won at Peninsula. InterContinental Seoul COEX

On New Year’s eve, InterContinental Seoul COEX’s Sky Lounge offers a late dinner and a special drink set to guests planning to join New Year’s countdown there overlooking the city night view.

Guests can also enjoy a variety of New Year’s entertainment presented at Bongeun Temple right across the street, including the bell ringing at midnight and firework displays. A Proposal Package is also available in the lounge’s Pluto Room with champagne and romantic decorations including flowers and candles.

At the lobby lounge as well, guests can enjoy a midnight snack buffets from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. with live music.
